4th CLINICAL NEUROSCIENCE COURSE
Etkinliğe Kalan Süre:
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 4th Clinical Neuroscience Course (CNC). After a successful series of previous courses in 2013, 2015, and 2017, we are looking forward to the 4th edition. Again the venue will be the Anemon hotel in Samsun facing the black sea. This course is organized by the Ondokuz Mayıs University Neuromodulation Center, Maastricht University Neuromodulation Center and European Graduate School of Neuroscience.
The topic of 4th course is “Advances in Neuromodulation in Parkinson’s disease and novel developments”. We will discuss the latest insights in the clinical and experimental features of Parkinson’s disease. In addition, the most recent developments in DBS will be highlighted. Interestingly, we have gained new knowledge about the pathophysiology of PD by the procedure of DBS. One example is the finding of synchronized oscillatory activity in the basal ganglia discovered by neurophysiological recordings during and after surgery. The contribution of DBS to the field of PD will receive special attention. The most recent concepts of drug-based advanced therapies for Parkinson’s disease will also receive attention.
The course will consist of interactive lectures by the faculty and discussion groups. There will be also room for the participants to interact with the faculty. The participants are encouraged to submit abstracts or present case studies for exchange of experience or to receive input from the faculty.
We look forward welcoming you in Samsun.
